We first met with the Hayes family during the planning stages of their knock down re- build in beautiful Mt Martha. With Architect drawings and window schedules we were able to supply an estimated quote allowing our client to build all window furnishing into their budget along with arranging timelines to coincide with the expected completion/ move in date.
The Hayes family had dreamed and meticulously planned every detail of their dream home without exception, including window furnishings. Using an inspiration image from the client as a point of reference, we created an extra deep double pinch pleat style in a modern and fresh textural sheer fabric throughout.
In the bedrooms we added a solid blockout and Sheer curtain on a double track system to create privacy when needed while still having the ability to use the sheer curtain on its own. We used Vanda’s Versa track range throughout in the colour “Riverstone’, this system gives the impression of a curtain rod with the functionality of a tracking set up, glides are recessed into the track allowing for seamless and smooth operation.
In the most divine Jack and Jill bathroom shared by two lucky sisters the owners chose a Roman blind from our range of Woven blinds by Peter Meyer Blinds in ‘ Urban Weave’ situated over a bathtub we motorised this blind using a rechargeable battery operated system, no hardwiring necessary.
The living area is a large open plan space featuring soaring heights and windows along with 3 sets of beautifully executed french doors. Once again using the Vanda Versa Track system utilising internal joiners we installed a continuous 6.5 metre track, along with 3 sets of ‘free flow’ Sheer curtains allowing the flexibility to draw curtains fully to one side, either side or simply on each door.
Lastly on the second story height ‘void’ windows we installed fully automated external blinds in a classic Black and White Stripe. Style and functionality were at the forefront of every decision for the owners of this home and the motorised black and white canvas stripe blinds really embody this.
It was such a pleasure to be a small part of the big wonderful picture that is the beautiful ‘Hayes House’ on the Mornington Peninsula.
